I am a 19 handicap who is looking for a new gap wedge either 50º, 51º or 52º. My current wedges are 45º Pitch, 55º Sand (Callaway X20) and 60º Lob (Professional Open 658 series). I am not the best ball striker nor the straightest hitter. I am thinking about getting the Callaway X22 A wedge (51º). Any other suggestions?

I just got a new set of clubs and it came with a pitching wedge. I also have a 48 degree wedge that I’ve used for a few months. I know they have about the same loft, but i was wondering which to use?

Are you suppose to hit your pitching wedge like an iron or like a wedge?

I bought a set of irons that didn’t come with wedges (probably not a great idea, but I got a set of Mizuno MP-30s for 0). I’m trying to buy Mizuno wedges separately (MP-T) series, which I think will work fine. I got a bounce wedge 53-8. Don’t know exactly what that means. What type of measurements classify pitching wedges and what classifies sand wedges? The above numbers talked about degrees and lie, which I don’t fully understand.
